Pre-Treatment Instructions for Tattoo Removal
- Treatment is every 8 weeks for tattoo removal. If treated sooner, you will only be treating the same ink. (Takes body up to 2 months to dispose of ink)
- The blacker the ink the more pain is involved
- Can NOT remove light pink or white ink
- Pastel colors take longer to treat.
- Typically, it can take up to a year for body to get rid of inks.
- We recommend that tattoo removal is treated without local anesthetic. However, if after trying the treatment without an anesthetic and you can not tolerate, the doctor or one of our nurses may inject the sight with 1% Zylocaine.
- There is a chance for hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation
- Tattoo removal is priced according to the size of the tattoo. The larger a tattoo, the more expensive it is to remove.
- Typically, it will take 7 to 8 treatments to remove all the ink from a tattoo.
